How it works

  1. Pick your country and planChoose how many GB you need and for how many days. Prices are in euros, with no hidden fees.
  2. Pay and get your QR codeThe QR code appears right after payment and is also sent to your email.
  3. Install it before you leaveInstall it on Wi-Fi at home. When you land, use the eSIM for mobile data and turn on roaming for it.

Does your phone support eSIM?

Most recent phones do: iPhone XR, XS and newer; Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Z Flip and Z Fold; Google Pixel 3 and newer. Many cheaper models (for example some Samsung Galaxy A or Xiaomi phones) do not.

Quickest check: dial *#06#. If an EID number shows up, your phone supports eSIM. The phone also has to be unlocked (not tied to one carrier).

Frequently asked questions

When does the plan start?

Most plans start when your phone connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it, so you can buy and install it days before you leave. Each plan says when it starts.

Do I lose my number?

No. Your physical SIM stays in the phone, so you can still get calls and texts. Use the eSIM for data so you never pay data roaming.

Does the eSIM have a phone number?

No, it is data only. WhatsApp, Viber and other apps keep working with your usual number.

How do I install it on iPhone?

On your order page tap "Install on iPhone". Or scan the QR code from another device under Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM.

How do I install it on Android?

Go to Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM (names vary a little by phone) and scan the QR code. You can also type it in: the SM-DP+ address and activation code are on your order page.

Can I reuse it for another trip?

Each eSIM is for one plan. For your next trip, buy a new plan. Don't delete the eSIM from your phone until the plan is over: a deleted eSIM cannot be installed again.

What if it does not work?

Check that the eSIM is selected for mobile data and that roaming is on for it. If it still won't connect, email support@rrugo.com with your order email. If the eSIM has not been installed yet, we can cancel it and refund you.
